No photo today but thought I should at least put up an update. Not much to report really, Doc says baby will prob be around 7 lbs at delivery a nice healthy weight. I'm feeling tired and ready to get this show on the road. Still have some minor tweeking to do to baby room, all the wall decor is up, just working on the closet. Peter is crafting some inserts to narrow the closet opening cause it's 42" inchs and you can't get closet doors that are 42". So big thanks to Peter for that! Family starts to arrive end of next week from the island and I'm sure everyone is as anxious as we are.
Also I'm sure everyone is wondering about Baby names. Well we still don't know, but when we do, we won't be sharing until baby is born. Sorry guys.
Dave has been busy doing the yard, and is now taking on refinishing the front deck. Today is day two of pressure washing it and he's not half way done yet. I'm excited to get that deck a new colour, I can't stand the burgundy or whatever it is now.....gonna go for a nice dark natural look.
I've been busy cleaning odd things, base boards, windowsills, cupboard doors, doors.....stopped crocheting about two days ago. Just not feeling it right now, also had a blanket project started and ran out of yarn.
Thats all there is as of today!

37 Weeks! 3 weeks to go.
My weekly update says " This week, your baby is busy shedding his downy coating of fine hair (called lanugo) and his coat of vernix caseosa -- the cheesy substance that protects his developing skin. Your baby swallows both of these secretions, which stay in the bowels until birth. Then your baby will excrete a blackish waste called meconium that becomes his first bowel movement. Meanwhile, you may be feeling huge -- and increasingly impatient."
Totally feeling like this baby could come anytime and I wouldn't mind. Have some fine tuning to do in the baby room, closet rod, some shelves and hooks and then we're all set! Just need to load up on more diapers. Think I might order this for the first week, seems like a good deal and offers two sizes in case it's a big baby! http://well.ca/products/pampers-swaddlers-welcome-pack_50519.html
Otherwise I'm just trying to kill time. Dave has been an amazing support by keeping up with house and yard work and getting me things when I don't feel like getting up, which is most of the time. We've also brought inside one of the zero gravity chairs which is amazing when my back hurts, totally takes the pressure of my back and ribs. I've been crocheting for us, Lindsay and some other people who have babies on the way, so that's kinda fun. Have hemmed curtains, made a crib sheet and a crib skirt. Loving having sewing machine! So does Dave cause I can fix all his stuff.
Anyways, Doctors appointment today, and I'm sure he'll say what he always does "Wow your blood pressure is low! Oh wait it's always like that so it's normal" ha it's so funny, he totally doesn't know who I am. Last appointment I was up 14 lbs which was two weeks ago so we'll see what today says.

31 Weeks
31 down 9 to go.
Phew! I'm getting tired on being big. The aches and pains get worse everyday. Mostly in the evening.
This week (and next) we are baby sitting Stella, our friend Nikki and Pat's little girl. It's great practice for me, and fun because everyday we are doing something fun and new. Yesterday was swimming (I just watched) and Squirrel Park, today was Strong Start and Play park. And everyday will be filled with Dora in between.
Otherwise, I am enjoying my time off work, getting lots done around the house. Here's your bump pic!

Painting Furniture
Today Dave fixed the rocking chair and we painted it. I painted the drawers for the dresser and the trim around the front door. But more importantly, I got my fishing license today!! Here's hoping tomorrow will be nicer than today and we can hit the river for my first unsuccessful cast of the year!! So excited.

26 Weeks!! And Baby Room Pics!
Last weekend Sherri, Lindsay, Triston and I road tripped it up to Prince George for some retail therapy and a girls weekend away before Sherri's grand departure. We had a wonderful time and Lindsay and I stoked up on baby clothes. I also picked up a stroller and car seat which Dave likes as much as I do.
After an 8 hour long drive home yesterday, I was excited to share my haul with Dave. He appeared anxious and I asked him if he had to be somewhere, he said he was fine. Now if anyone knows Dave well, they know he can't keep a surprise a secret and starts acting weird when he's trying to. I asked him if we could put the stroller together, he asked me to grab a wrench but said it was in the back room (the baby room) when I walked in I expected drywall mess and dust everywhere. Well, I obviously burst into tears when I realized the entire room had been fixed (drywall) painted, and baby furniture moved in and assembled!! It really was amazing. After sharing the moment together I realized all weekend I had been conned by my lovely mother and sister in law who knew about the surprise but did one hell of a job keeping it a secret, and lied to by my loving husband, when every time I spoke to him he said he was sleeping or watching basketball, when really him and his friend were working their assess off!!
I am so appreciative of the room being finished, it is so beautiful and means so much to both Dave and I.
Today he was so sweet to put up the curtain rod and curtains. Here are the pics, and a bump pic.

23 Weeks!
Well Today was the third ultrasound, we had great hopes of joining team blue or pink today but unfortunately the little bugger had his/her legs crossed and was moving around to much to get a look at those parts. But the good news is heart is beating at 144 bpm, and the head is 20cm circumference. Baby also weighs 1 lb 5 ounces.

21 weeks today!
My weekly update says:
You may soon feel like your baby's practising martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into fully-fledged kicks and nudges. As your pregnancy progresses, you may be able to decipher a pattern to his activity. Some babies are restless in the evening, just as you're trying to fall asleep; others get busy during the daytime. Your baby may be trying out different facial expressions around now, although his eyelids still remain closed. Baby could measure about 27cm/10 1/2 in from crown to heel.
(which would be double the size he/she was in the 18 week ultrasound.
I can say I'm noticing movement mostly in the evenings mind you its easier to notice movement when I'm not busy at work or doing stuff around the house.

Bump Pic!
Well we finally found our camera charger and took a new photo today. Here we are at 20 weeks 5 days.
Today was the super bowl and we had a great time with family and friends over for good eats and good laughs.
Update on baby stuff, Last night Dave and I actually saw my stomach move while the baby was moving. Its a very unusual feeling, but we were both very excited. A couple more weeks and hopefully we can find out the sex!

20 weeks
Got an email this morning telling me:
By now you can probably feel your baby move around. Enjoy it -- those butterfly flutters are one of the true joys of pregnancy. She's also giving her new digestive system a little practice by swallowing amniotic fluid, from which she absorbs nutrients and water. The unabsorbed matter continues into her bowel where it concentrates into meconium, the greenish black or light brown substance she'll pass the first few days after she's born.
I can Definitely feel something its soooo subtle though and most of the time it's actually gas...haha. I am happy to know that baby is already working on his/her first poop! Cause that's the most exciting part, is watching Daves face when he has to change the first diaper......

17 Weeks
17 weeks today!
Holidays were great, New Year is here and Baby Weaver is a thumb sucker. Today we had a 35 minute ultrasound and could see the most amazing details of our little 5" fetus. You could almost count every vertebrae on his/her spine, you could see the femur (2.5 cm long) it's perfectly round head, it's brain, kidneys, all four heart cavities, both legs, both feet, both arms and hands and all 5 fingers. We were happy to see there were no "extra" limbs or heads..... Baby was moving around a bit, had it's legs crossed and kept putting it's thumb in it's mouth. It swallowed too. No bum shots though, baby was tucked face down deep in my pelvis and we couldn't get him to turn round so limited face shots and no gender determination!
Heartrate: 144 bpm
Length: 12.5 cm (head to bum)
Bump Picture to follow later tonight.
