Got an email this morning telling me:
By now you can probably feel your baby move around. Enjoy it -- those butterfly flutters are one of the true joys of pregnancy. She's also giving her new digestive system a little practice by swallowing amniotic fluid, from which she absorbs nutrients and water. The unabsorbed matter continues into her bowel where it concentrates into meconium, the greenish black or light brown substance she'll pass the first few days after she's born.
I can Definitely feel something its soooo subtle though and most of the time it's actually gas...haha. I am happy to know that baby is already working on his/her first poop! Cause that's the most exciting part, is watching Daves face when he has to change the first diaper......

Last night Dave and I went to our first prenatal class. Dave got to learn all the nasty details involved with labour and delivery! He is starting to feel sorry for me now....haha
Doctors appointment tomorrow to review the US images from last week and check in, then prenatal class at night.

17 Weeks
17 weeks today!
Holidays were great, New Year is here and Baby Weaver is a thumb sucker. Today we had a 35 minute ultrasound and could see the most amazing details of our little 5" fetus. You could almost count every vertebrae on his/her spine, you could see the femur (2.5 cm long) it's perfectly round head, it's brain, kidneys, all four heart cavities, both legs, both feet, both arms and hands and all 5 fingers. We were happy to see there were no "extra" limbs or heads..... Baby was moving around a bit, had it's legs crossed and kept putting it's thumb in it's mouth. It swallowed too. No bum shots though, baby was tucked face down deep in my pelvis and we couldn't get him to turn round so limited face shots and no gender determination!
Heartrate: 144 bpm
Length: 12.5 cm (head to bum)
Bump Picture to follow later tonight.
